  Why do we dream when we sleep? Why we dream and the function of our dreams has been the point of debate for many years.  Dreams are the stories and the images that our minds create while we sleep. They can be entertaining or fun, romantic, frightening, disturbing and sometimes bizarre. We may not remember our dreaming, but everyone is thought to dream between 3 and 6 times per night. It is also thought that each dream may last between 5 to 20 minutes. Around 95 percent of the dreams are forgotten by the time a person gets out of his/her bed. Hallucinations of pain and touch are very rare in the schizophrenic disorders but about 20% of patients with the schizophrenia may experience some sort of tactile hallucinations along with the visual and auditory hallucinations. The most common tactile hallucination in patients with schizophrenia is like a sensation in which a patch of their skin is stretched elastically across their head. They vary in the intensity, range and speed at which they might feel this stretching painful sensation. They are usually triggered by some emotional cues such as a guilt, anger, fear and depression. Additionally, they occasionally hallucinate the feeling of small animals such as snakes crawling over their body. About one out of every six adults will have depression at some time in their life, according to the research study. Anyone can become depressed, regardless of their age or gender, race, or background. Depression may not have a clear pattern of inheritance in their families. It's true that people who have a first-degree relative such as a parent or sibling with depression are 2 to 3 times more likely to develop the situation. On other hand, many people who develop the depression may not have a family history of the disorder, and many people with an affected relative can never develop it.
